AGENDA
Knowing starfishes
Did you know that starfish have the superpower of regeneration? There are around 2,000 different species of starfish. They aren’t fish; they’re echinoderms, from the same family as sea urchins. They usually have five arms, although some have many more. They are invertebrates; they have no bones. They cannot live in rivers or lakes, only in the salt water of the sea, at temperatures below 23°C.
We’ll share these and many other interesting facts through a treasure hunt around the museum exhibition, and we’ll round off this workshop by making a starfish as a craft project, which you can take home as a souvenir.
