In collaboration with Mendifilm, Itsasmuseum hosts the photographic exhibition Into the Ice, a Basque project that combines exploration, glacier research, mountaineering and adventure in the Cordillera Darwin, Tierra del Fuego (Chile).

Beyond continental Patagonia and the Strait of Magellan, in the archipelago of Tierra del Fuego, the southern tip of South America, there are still unexplored mountains. Mountains and glaciers. The upper elevations of the Darwin Range icefield have been the target of the INTO THE ICE expedition, which has blended geographic exploration, glacier research, climbing and adventure, in one of the most remote and wild mountain ranges on the planet. The exhibition is an example of all this.
